How do I order a commercial system?
To ensure that you have the system most suited to your business, please call us on 0800 521 669 to discuss your requirements.
How do I pay for my commercial system?
Please call us on 0800 521 669 we will send you an order form to complete and return. Upon receipt, your order will be processed and an invoice will be sent to you. We accept most major credit and debit cards. Alternatively please make cheques payable to SmartWater Technology Ltd. Payment terms are strictly 30 days and our Terms & Conditions of sale are available on request.
Is there a minimum licence period?
Yes. All our commercial licences are subject to an initial two year minimum licence period. Payment may be annual and we will write to you on the anniversary of the licence for your renewal.
Why is there a minimum licence period?
It is important to maintain the deterrent factor of SmartWater. We therefore provide free solution so that the forensic coding of items in your company or organisation can be refreshed. This process is not required every year, and we therefore provide a complete free new system on renewal every two years.
When can I expect delivery of the goods?
Please allow 28 days for delivery. However, typically we despatch within 7-14 working days of receipt of your order. All commercial orders are sent out by carrier and will need to be signed for.
I have used up my stock of solution – is it possible to buy more?
Yes – we recognise that each year you are likely to purchase new items for your business which will require coding. We will provide you with additional solution and stickers free of charge on renewal of your 3rd year licence and every other year thereafter providing your licence is up to date. Should you wish to order solution in addition to this, prices are as follows (conditions apply):

Can I purchase more stickers/warning labels?
Yes you can purchase an amount of stickers up to the quantity originally supplied with your system. Please call our Customer Service department on 0800 521 669 for prices and order details.
How do I renew my licence at the end of the year?
Your licence continues until you notify us in writing, providing we continue to receive the licence fee. We will write to you with an invoice for the renewal towards the end of each current licence period.
What happens if I wish to discontinue my licence?
We trust that you find the deterrent power and peace of mind that SmartWater offers good reason to maintain your licence. We invite you to have another look around our website as a reminder of the real deterrent benefits of SmartWater. If however you really must discontinue, we will ask you, in accordance with the terms of the licence, to remove the warning labels from your windows and doors and your details will be removed from the National Security Register. SmartWater has a policy of randomly checking the display of Warning Labels for existing and former licensees.
Does SmartWater give a discount to schools, churches, hospitals and other care organisations?
Yes. If you are a school, college, church, hospital or a care organisation in the public sector we will offer a special discount. Please call our customer service department on 0800 521 669 for details.
What size system do I need for my company/organisation?
The following is provided as an approximate guide since the amount you need is dependent on how many items you have to code and how liberally you apply the solution:
A small Commercial system contains 50ml solution and should code approx. 150 items; sufficient to protect computers, mobile phones, etc. This system will probably suit a small business with 1 – 10 employees, ideal for handymen, plumbers, electricians and other small businesses. Could also be suitable for a small primary school.
A medium Commercial system contains 200ml solution and should code approx. 600 items; sufficient to protect computers, plant, tools and mobile phones etc. This system will probably suit medium organisations with 11 - 100 employees, and may also suit large primary schools or average secondary schools, colleges, hospitals and residential care homes.
A large Commercial system contains 500ml solution and will mark approx. 1500 items (depending on application). This system will probably suit major businesses, with 101 – 500 employees (guideline only) and has sufficient solution to protect many computers, plant, tools, mobile phones etc. Suitable for multinational corporations with volume requirements (where multiple licences may be appropriate) and also suitable for larger secondary schools, colleges, universities councils, hospitals and residential care homes.
A Commercial Vehicle system covers 1 vehicle, so individual kits are needed for each commercial vehicle.
A 200ml Commercial Stone Coding System covers around 200 stones, a 500ml system covers around 500 stones depending on application.
Do I get a discount if I order multiple licences?
Yes. SmartWater offers volume discounts on commercial licences. We are happy to accept multiple orders from co-operatives or buying organisations (e.g. industry associations, watch schemes) who are able to collate multiple orders on behalf of numerous individual businesses. If I order than more than one licence, will the solution have a unique code in each system?
Yes. We recommend that even if multiple licences are being purchased for one organisation, separate codes should be used to provide a higher degree of traceability, either by department, division, geographic area etc depending on the structure of your organisation.
Can I have extra stickers and warning labels if windows are replaced or we move premises?
Yes. But the Company reserves the right not to supply if doing so would, in the Companies opinion, be in breach of the licence granted.
I have replaced my vehicle and wondered how I go about getting a new vehicle kit?
Please send us a copy of the V5/Logbook for your new vehicle along with a covering letter detailing the change. Providing your current SmartWater Licence is up to date we will supply you with a free replacement commercial vehicle kit. If the new vehicle is already SmartWater protected then it will be transferred and a new certificate issued.
